Heartfelt Prayer 1

Prayer is meant to be just like a healthy beating heart always pulsing beneath the surface of our busy lives.

Held within each one of us is the ability to be a reliable source of love and inner strength. Heartfelt prayer can bring peace into your body and into your life.

Start by giving the first moment of each day to prayer. The type of prayer you offer is entirely your preference…a body movement, a series of words, a thought, a song, a chant. This way, you can choose a healthy and good way for your day to unfold while supporting the natural inclination of your body and mind to function in a balanced state at all times.

Before offering a prayer to yourself or to someone else, the important thing you must choose is the essence of the prayer before you offer it.

For example, if you know someone you’ve been worried about (perhaps, it’s you!) who can use an extra boost of support and love and you would like to offer a prayer for them, please be sure you have consciously brought your own state of mind and emotional body into a peaceful one before sending. Why send a junkyard of anxious, upset, or worried feelings? Before offering a prayer, bring your mind into a place of peacefulness.

Here is one way to bring yourself into a more peaceful state before sending a prayer on:

Place your palm on your heart center and inhale from your heart center into the palm of your hand, keep your hand on your heart center and exhale from your palm through your heart center filling your whole chest and head and face and body. Do this again and this time, silently say to yourself …”I am peace”… as you inhale fully and exhale completely.

Notice the peacefulness you are feeling.

Feel peacefulness flowing and circulating through your bloodstream and expanding your capacity to breathe freely.

Take a deep breath and breathe peacefulness into every cell of your body.Feel the pulsation of peace within you just like your beautiful lifelong companion, your beating heart. How soothed and refreshed your entire being feels.

Your heartfelt prayer can circulate through your body and into your life!
