Hanna Hymans Ostroff is a creator of therapeutic VR and XR, Interfaith Spiritual Director, author, and commissioned Peace Chaplain.
Hanna is the creator of the virtual reality experience Breathe Peace World, which debuted at the United Nations’ SDG Interactive Exhibition General Assembly, utilized for pain management in children’s hospitals and in healthcare settings globally.
A love of uplifting stories and children’s picture books inspired Hanna to write and publish Aya, the story of a purposeful panda whose search for beauty leads her to a peaceful place, the one inside her beautiful heart.
Hanna honors every spiritual path. As an Interfaith Spiritual Director, she meets with adults, children and families virtually and in-person through her practice based in Northern California. Hanna has created educational tools and curriculum to teach anyone of any age how to live each day peacefully, joyfully and with purpose. Peaceful Child modules are designed for children ages 5-9 and their parents to explore spiritual practices together and are held in Hanna’s garden classroom in Northern California.
Hanna was commissioned by Chaplaincy Institute founder Rev. Dr. Gina Rose Halpern as a Peace Chaplain. All of her work and home life extends that commission.
Hanna and her beloved husband and life partner Greg are blessed with four beautiful children, a joyous dog, and a virtual panda.
“Peace is a breath away.”
“Asking oneself big questions like “What is God?” Or “Who is God” is a helpful practice, but nothing is more helpful than offering consistent love and care to those in closest proximity to you.”
“Each one of us can Breathe Peace into any moment and every situation.”
Finding Home
Home, Together While living in Tokyo with our first born son, Zachary Moses, I found short bursts of time to write stories in-between his naps and our daily adventures.
Peaceful Summer Adventure Growing up in New Jersey, my sister Amy and I loved to spend summer afternoons at our local library.
Heartfelt Prayer Prayer is meant to be just like a healthy beating heart always pulsing beneath the surface of our busy lives.
